Salomé and Leon are celebrating 32 years of marriage TODAY!
In honor of their anniversary, here are six things that are dear to their hearts. These are special ways the Holy Spirit has moved in their marriage—and He can move in your marriage in similar ways.
Three ways the Holy Spirit helps Salomé:
Special prayers and blessings. Salomé loves that Leon blesses her and prays for her every morning before he goes to work. This is an idea the Holy Spirit put on his heart, and it means a lot to her.
Repentance and forgiveness. No matter who you are, there are times when asking for forgiveness isn’t necessarily easy. Salomé recognizes that the Holy Spirit helps her embrace humility and recognize when she needs to ask for forgiveness. He doesn’t want her and Leon to be mad at each other.
Following God’s voice. One vital piece of a healthy marriage is listening to God’s voice. The Holy Spirit helps Salomé with humility in this area too, so she can stay strong in what God has told her and not allow the influences of the world to direct her.
Three ways the Holy Spirit helps Leon:
Unity. The Holy Spirit helps Leon and Salomé live together in harmony. What a blessing to be married for thirty-two years!
Divine guidance. The Holy Spirit knows how to guide two people so they meet one another. It doesn’t matter how far away their starting points are! Leon and Salomé were living thousands of miles apart, but the Holy Spirit went to work, and they were able to meet and cultivate a relationship all the way through to marriage. It is nothing short of a miracle.
Divine proximity. The Holy Spirit has a special way of leading people every day. Leon can feel the Spirit’s presence as he interacts with Salomé.
