Have you ever stopped to consider you are the very delight of God’s heart? Because that is what you are, even on those days when you feel like a complete failure.

Even when it seems like all is lost, His delight remains an unchanging force in your life.

Here are a few simple reminders of your heavenly Father’s heart for you. Think about these things. Pray about them, and let the truth of His delight sink down and become part of your heart.

Your Father’s Heart & Your Heart

You are precious in His sight (Isa. 43:4).
You are holy because of Jesus (Col. 3:12).
You are loved more than you know (Eph. 3:18).
You are not alone. He is with you and helping you (Isa. 41:10).
Your true nature is like His nature. It is not fearful but powerful and full of love (2 Tim. 1:7).
You belong in His marvelous light (1 Pet. 2:9).
He is rejoicing because you exist (Zeph. 3:17).
You are His child. He loves that you call Him Father (Jer. 3:19).
You are a child of light, not darkness (Eph. 5:8).
You look like your heavenly Father. He did what was necessary to ensure this would happen (Eph. 4:24).
Because of Jesus, you are truly righteous and you are truly holy (Eph. 4:24).
You are welcome in His house. You have a safe, secure place with Him (Eph. 2:19).
He picked you before He made the world (Eph. 1:4).
He loves you with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3).
He wants to carry the “heavy” things that make you anxious (1 Pet. 5:7).
He shares His strength with you (Eph. 6:10).
He has brought you close to Himself (Eph. 2:13).
Even if others reject you, He will not (Ps. 27:10).
He will never leave you (Deut. 31:6).
He will never forsake you (Deut. 31:6).
He will not allow you to be condemned (Rom. 8:1).
His love for you is loyal, faithful, and fully committed. You don’t ever need to be afraid you might lose it (Ps. 136:26).

This week, if you catch yourself thinking negative things about God’s heart for you, remind yourself of the truth: that your heavenly Father loves you and His love is unshakable.

A Tender, Responsive Heart

I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. (Ez. 36:26 NLT)

When your heart—not just your mind but your heart—knows the truth about God and His amazing love for you, your life will change.

You will realize how safe you are as His child, that He really does mean it when He says He will always be with you. That is what He wants—to be with you at that level. He truly does want to spend time with you, because you delight Him.

Take a moment to earnestly ask Father God to unveil His love to you. Ask Him to give you a tender heart that is responsive to His love, and invite Him to do this thing He already wants to do: show you all His delight.
